What is KWD Next?

Koen: "KWD Next is a programme that KWD started several years ago to attract young talent into the world of project management. In this, we are looking for people with some work experience within the project management profession, young talents. People with a sense of responsibility who want to help clients further and grow into senior project managers. This is where KWD wants and can help them."

Why does KWD Result Management consider this initiative important?

"Next also stands for the next generation. KWD believes it is important that the profession of project management is done right. By employing young talents, KWD can transfer the knowledge to the next generation, thus preserving the large amount of knowledge within KWD."

Next stands for the next generation. Passing on knowledge and applying it in your own way.

What does this help you advance young colleagues with?

"The Next trajectory consists of three elements; making flying hours, often on an assignment alongside an experienced KWD employee, education and training and a coach/mentor you can meet with as required. For example, to talk about issues in your assignment. This is how we fill the toolbox with tools and best practices. When Young KWD employees do projects, this gives them the project management skills they need to get results for our clients.

I really like the dynamic that comes with the arrival of young talent within the company. This creates discussions and insights, which challenge both young professionals and experienced project and programme managers to look at a problem or issue from a different angle."
