Bring something new

As a Dynamics 365 CE consultant, you know all the ins and outs of the Microsoft Dynamics CRM (Customer Engagement) and Power Platform."On this platform, our customers manage their sales, customer service and marketing processes, among other things," Twan explains."These are processes that really affect the daily ins and outs of these organizations." This makes for a diverse working day.Twan:"I visit customers a lot and help them with technical issues.Sometimes I'm fixing bugs for clients we work for for a longer period of time, sometimes I'm working on a project and on other days I'm explaining to new clients how the CRM system works and fits their processes. You get a look behind the scenes in all kinds of sectors. The great thing is that you take something new from every customer to learn from. That keeps the work varied."

Constant change

If Twan had to describe his work in one sentence, it would be "No day is the same".According to him, the main reason for this is that everything in his field is constantly changing."Microsoft continues to develop rapidly, so the CRM system and the Power Platform around it are constantly changing. That also means something for the customer. He or she grows in maturity through the use of the platform and through advancing insight, which changes his or her wishes. In short, there is always something new to see or learn." Twan likes that variety most about his job."Working with Microsoft's products in a landscape that is always changing, that's a lot of fun."

Express creativity

If, like Twan, you have to find the connection between the process and the customer's systems on the one hand and Microsoft's toolbox on the other, there is sometimes a challenge in between. It is precisely this technical puzzle that inspires Twan the most in his work."I have always been interested in the technical side of the Microsoft solution.I have a lot of affinity with code and development languages such as Javascript.Despite the fact that I didn't study for it, I have been faced with more and more technical challenges in recent years.I love the search that is needed if, for example, a solution at a customer does not (or no longer) do what it is supposed to do.Being able to express creativity has always been important to me.I can express that in photography, but also in these technical puzzles and coding.Thinking freely about how we solve problems for customers, that's what gives me energy."

In someone else's shoes

Twan therefore does not have to hesitate for long about what role he would like to play within Conclusion MBS if he could not be a CE consultant."Then I would like to take on a more technical role as a developer or architect to put together technical puzzles full-time," he explains.Yet the project management side also attracts him.He is therefore keen on exchanging work with a project manager."I always work with project managers, but I don't really know what it's like to be in their shoes.Out of curiosity, I think it would be fun to swap jobs for a day.Just to see what a project looks like from that side."

Inspiring colleagues

Twan is in the right place at Conclusion MBS."Conclusion MBS is a stubborn bunch of people, in a good way. That makes us unique. We hold on to our own identity within the larger Conclusion ecosystem." Twan certainly draws inspiration from his colleagues."Many of my colleagues know an impressive amount about a certain subject or have been in the business for years. That intrigues me: what has been your journey to become the expert you are today? It encourages me to keep learning and developing. Moreover, I notice a great sense of responsibility in my team. Many colleagues are really worried when things don't go well. This ensures that you actually think it is important to work hard to find the best solution for the customer together. It's very nice to be in a team like that."
