Industry challenges

Women in IT experience several challenges that complicate entry and advancement within the industry. This starts early with educational choices. Many girls don't choose technical fields at a young age. According to Conclusion, this is partly due to the lack of role models in the sector. Conclusion wants to address these obstacles by inspiring young women and showing them that there are plenty of opportunities for them in IT.

Women in Position

The Women in Position initiative arose from the ambition to increase the percentage of women in IT, focusing on women in management and technical positions. We chose to work together with FC Utrecht, of which we are the main sponsor. Conclusion has deliberately chosen to sponsor not only the first team, but also the U23 team and FC Utrecht Women. Women in the IT sector and women's football each have their own challenges and with this initiative Conclusion wants to ensure that women are seen and appreciated by a wider audience.

Ambitions

With this initiative, Conclusion hopes to increase the percentage of women in strategic positions and create a culture in which women feel inclined to pursue careers in IT and tech. The initiative focuses not only on the women within the organization, but also on inspiring young women to make the move into IT. To achieve this, several actions are being set up, including participation in Girls Day on April 10. This is an annual event for high school students, where girls are introduced to the various opportunities within the IT sector through workshops and guest speakers. A women's network has also been set up within Conclusion, where women share experiences and inspire each other.

Diversity in all its forms makes us stronger as an organization, and that is the driving force behind this initiative.

Diversity in all its forms makes us stronger as an organization, and that is the driving force behind this initiative. We are therefore proud of this campaign, proud of our women and the dynamism they bring to the organization.”

With Women in Position we support the female players and the broader women's network we have built within Conclusion.

Corianne Visser, Director Marketing & Communication at Conclusion: “We are extremely happy with the cooperation with FC Utrecht and the women's team. It is an opportunity to increase the visibility of women in both sports and the IT sector. Women's football often does not get the same attention as men's football, while these athletes show just as much talent and perseverance. With Women in Position we support the female players as well as the broader women's network we have built within Conclusion. This network offers women the opportunity to share experiences, inspire each other and become stronger as a collective, both at work and beyond.”
