Noordwijk aan Zee

The 2024 edition started with a kick-off last April. What has happened since then? Tim says: "The Connection program has been going on for a while now and we have been able to undertake a number of fun and special activities together. For example, we had a special stay of two days in Noordwijk aan zee. We started working together there and, under the guidance of a number of very sympathetic trainers from de Baak, we were confronted with behavior. How do you behave within a group? What kind of reactions do certain situations evoke in you? Where does this behavior come from? What do you see in your own behavior, but also: what do you see in terms of behavior in the other person? These questions and more help you to be more aware of your own behavior in a group process, but also outside of it, to reflex and to see what the effect is on others."

Out of the comfort zone

Talent development and growth take place pre-eminently in situations where you are confronted with new things. Tim: "We started working on this with playful methodologies, which really required many of us to leave our comfort zone for a while. For me, the moments in these two days when we were divided into smaller groups or pairs, and talking to each other really stand out. Very special to reflect on yourself and others for two days. And what a very nice and open group of colleagues it is!"

For me, the conversations in smaller groups really stand out. What a very nice and open group of colleagues!

Trainers from the ecosystem

"In addition to De Baak, the colleagues of KWD Result Management also provided a very nice day. Jervis and Brigitte made us think in a playful way about elements that play a role when working in projects and with project groups. Seemingly simple tricks and games that ended with us being able to reflect with a transcendent view on opportunities and risks in projects, but also on the different roles that are important in a project. This was also a fun day in which we enjoyed the natural way in which Brigitte and Jervis provided this training and the sea of knowledge that they so easily manage to tap into by heart."

About The Connection

The Connection is an annual program for talented employees from our ecosystem who have the ambition and potential to grow into a strategic position within one of the ecosystem companies. The 26 enthusiastic and motivated colleagues are now in the middle of the program, which this year is all about progress.

Progress
The program revolves around personal progress and the importance of working together on (digital) progress. It consists of two parts:

  • Individual learning pathway: actively working on personal development with personal development goals that are discussed in coaching sessions. Facilitated by De Baak and Fitch.
  • Collective learning trajectory: working together effectively, giving and receiving feedback and making progress together in a Conclusion project. Facilitated by KWD Resultmanagement and De Baak.

Talent Empowerment
An extra dimension this year is the collaboration with Talent Empowerment. Talent Empowerment guides hockey players Renée van Laarhoven, Marijn Veen, Frédérique Matla, Sanne Koolen and Josine Koning on their way to the Olympic Games this year. They and the participants of The Connection support each other during their development journey. Both on their way to achieving a top performance.
